Subject: Gala event/trip update
Dear Wind Ensemble and Symphony Parents,
As you know, we are getting very close to the opening of our new facility. The school district has done a fantastic job providing us with a rehearsal and learning space worthy of these incredible students. The community has also done its part, raising an additional $200,000 to provide the best equipment possible to allow the students to go above and beyond.
We are now down to our last event to raise the final $20,000 needed to finish our project. We will be hosting “A Night on Broadway” at the Brea Improv on October 26th, starting at 6pm. This is a formal gala event, to not only raise the final amount, but to celebrate the partnership we have among our families, the school district, and the community. We will be featuring groups of students from the wind ensemble, symphony orchestra, and performing arts academy on the historic Brea Improve stage. In addition, there will be a VIP party afterwards a! t the Copper Blues Lounge next door. It should be a great evening. To reach our capital campaign goal, we need to sell 150 more tickets. Information for purchasing tickets is attached. We hope to see you there!
In other news, our New York trip for both wind ensemble and symphony is a go! The students will be performing at David Geffen Hall at the Lincoln Center on April 2, 2023. This is the newly refurbished concert stage that is the home to the New York Philharmonic. You should be receiving a trip information package this week with all of the relevant information. We have also arranged for a separate parent trip, that will include flight and hotel if you are interested.
And on a personal note, so sorry all of the high cost things are happening so close together! Please let us know if there are any adjustments in timelines that need to be made to accommodate your individual circumstances. We can make anything work!
